Useful things for your business
Take a look at some of my favourite resources which help make my business run smoothly.
HEADS UP: Some of these recommendations may include affiliate links. However, I only ever share information on things I actually use, love and trust (paid or not). If you click on the link and choose to buy from there, it will never be any extra cost to you.
Emails and newsletters: FLODESK
Flodesk has some beautiful templates and an easy click and drag email builder.
Business cards: MOO
I love Moo for business cards - my current one is on recycled paper.
Tracking project time: TOGGL TRACK
The Toggl Track free plan is great. I use it to track client projects and create invoices, or simply find out how long something takes to do.
Project management: ASANA
After trying out various software, I finally settled on Asana to manage my projects. I’m on the free version and it works well for me.
Video meetings: ZOOM
Zoom used to be fab for those of us WFH with clients elsewhere. Sadly, it now costs to speak for over 40 mins, even one-to-one.
Web design & hosting: SQUARESPACE
Clean looking websites with user-friendly interface and drag and drop builder. I’ve always had superb support from their help desk too.
Online calendar: ACUITY SCHEDULING
I opened an Acuity account, which then became part of Squarespace. Acuity saves me lots of faff as it’s connected to my Zoom account and phone calendar.
Social media scheduling: LATER
I’ve stopped scheduling social media but, back in the day, regularly used Later’s free plan. It was always super user-friendly and their blog has tons of tips.
Training: RECIPE FOR SEO SUCCESS
This 12-week course was hands down the most helpful SEO training I’ve ever invested in.
Online business: ELIZABETH GODDARD
Lizzy Goddard has so many short courses to help set up an online business. Some are even free!
